In July 2009, the school organised a children’s READATHON and with the kind contributions from friends and family, were able to raise a substantial amount towards helping their peers in Jamaica. Charity Run
Judith (Denise) Francois-Walcott successfully completed the 5km Race for Life Charity run at Lloyds Park in Croydon on the 10th May, 2009. 5000 Books for Schools!
In April 2009, Southwark Libraries in London generously donated 5,000 children’s reading books for disribution to three schools in Westmoreland, Jamaica that are currently supported by KASSSI. Wickham Wanderers Football Club
In October 2008, KASSSI was chosen as a worthwhile charity by Wickham Wanderers Football Club (U17), in Shirley, Croydon. The club decided to make a contribution of sports equipment that could have a valuable second-user role. The benevolent donation included 100 pairs of football shirts, shorts and socks.
