In July 2009, the school organised a children’s READATHON and with the kind contributions from friends and family, were able to raise a substantial amount towards helping their peers in Jamaica. Garth Walcott, the Chair of KASSSI (UK), accepted a cheque for £546.25 from Boutcher C-of-E Primary School’s children. The school has graciously decided that the funds should be donated to the KASSSI charity.
KASSSI’s committee members, on behalf of the Jamaican school children and their families, would like to send a big THANK YOU to all who participated in this fantastic initiative and worthy cause.
